If you are like most quilters, you love to piece the tops but quilting them is another story!! You have put numerous hours and dollars into your creation, so why skimp on the quilting? Or maybe you don't know how to quilt but would like to have an heirloom custom made for someone special.

With 30 plus years of sewing experience, 8 years of longarm quilting experience, and awards on both the local and national level, I will work with you to determine the best quilting choices for your quilt top, or help you decide on a custom made creation.

If The Quilting Patch is quilting your quilt top for you, and you purchase backing fabric from BackSide Fabrics, we will wash (if you would like), press, and square up your backing for you free of charge! What a deal!!

Preparation of your Quilt:

*****Please do not apply embellishments until after the quilting process*****

Your quilt top should be pressed carefully, and all threads clipped. The backing and batting must be at least 4 inches greater than the quilt top on all sides to allow for proper loading onto the machine. The backing should be squared up and pressed. Do not pin or baste your top, batting and backing. If your top is not flat and/or has wavy borders, please note that these cannot be quilted out and may cause tucks or puckers in the quilting. In some situations, the borders may need to be reapplied if they are too large for the quilt center and do not lay flat. Please, no bed sheets for backing. There will be a $10.00 charge for each if I need to press, clip threads or square your backing.

Binding Service:

Binding prepared by The Quilting Patch will be french style (double fold) binding 2 & 1/2" wide with your fabric. If you would like your binding completely finished, The Quilting Patch only provides hand turned binding and will not machine turn your binding.
